Priorities

What is wrong with society now and days? Some of us live in a carefree world. With no worries or responsibilities. We work to pay bills and look nice, I guess. But is there any other reason. I'm no one to talk but if your 20 something years old, work, your hip, fresh and still live with your mother. Unless the reason you live there is to help her out with the bills, then there's a problem. A lot of people think first about getting a car, other then there own place. Yeah its great to have a car at a young age but the cost of gas is so high now and days you won't be driving as much as you thought you would. Sooner or later your going to need to get your priorities in order. There should be a time in your life when you say "ok I'm not 17 anymore, something has got to change. Its time to grow up." You can't stay young and hip forever. You have to expand your horizons.

An adventure with Jeanisse

According to my older sister, Jeanisse I don't spend enough time with her. I'm always doing things without her. So since we both were doing nothing yesterday I decided to spend an entire day with her. I thought it would be an ok day but to my surprise it was great. I really had an awesome time. We did our eyebrows, shopping, went to the wax museum, got scared to death by some guys who work there, they took Jeanisse's shoe and didn't want to return it to her, went to go eat at BBQ's and last but not least went to Joa's house to sing to her. Since she was under the weather due to the fact that her father just passed. Oh yea and we took tons of pictures with all the celebrities.

Night at the beach

I finally got the chance to go to the beach, at night and stay there till sunrise. The night was young and we wanted to do something new before Lulu went back to Boston. We couldn't wait to get to the nearest beach which was Orchard Beach. But the cops were there so that was a no go. Drove around and decided to go to Coney Island. It didn't smell to good, it really smelled like poop. Crazy thing is we were not the only ones there. Played a few games and then got in the water. It wasn't as cold as I would have expected. A good night out. The only problem was that when I got home, there was sand where sand shouldn't be.

Karma

Many people believe in a such thing as karma. After reading something today I'm unsure if I believe in it. A guy expressed that in his culture they believe in reincarnation. He believes that every act done, no matter how insignificant, will eventually return to the doer with equal impact. Good will be returned with good; evil with evil. Now many people will say that this is true. But since Hindus believe in reincarnation, karma knows no simple birth/death boundaries."If good or evil befall you, it is because of something you did in this or a previous lifetime" So if this is true then why does good happen to the bad and vice versa. Well he says everybody is getting what he or she deserves. "Even the child brutalized by drugged adults deserves the horror. The mentally ill, the retarded, and the millions of Jews killed by the Nazis deserved it for evil they must have done in the past. The slave beaten to within a breath of death deserved it, if not for what he did today, then for what he did in some previous lifetime. Likewise for the rape victim. She is just getting what she deserves. All suffering is deserved, according to the law of karma." Can someone say such things like this. He is a firm believer, what I don't understand is how can someone say you deserved to be raped no one deserves that, not even the worst person alive. How can someone be blamed for the person they were in there past life. I always thought that once you were born you had a clean slate. If this is true then, what will my next life look like? I've done my share of good as well as bad.
